For the people who has problems installing this from the link in the first post, i had an issue where it said the app was not supported by my current device, the app wasnt listed in appworld either, what i did was searching for dead space from within the Appworld and i was finally able to purchase it, downloading as i post this right now.
Graphics are amazing, controls are smooth, fighting is a bit difficult but probably get the hang of it after playing for a bit. Looks like the game is decently long seeing that there are a bunch of locked chapters, endless mode, and 5 minutes to kill mode. So far it seems to be worth the $10. Glad EA is continuing to develop for the PB, hopefully we get a sports game next

thats because for some reason theres two links, one for usa/canada/japan and the other for the rest of the world. dont ask me why tho lol
Anybody else getting white bars and screen on parts of the game? The intro looks amazing but when I assume the Dead Space logo appears I get a white box. Controls are all white boxes also and difficulty selection screen is all white except for the words. Can't really play it. Should I wipe? (the playbook that is)
Also just noticed there are tons of achievements that unlock wallpapers. I assume they will be hi res game renderings that will make nice backgrounds for the PB.

I had a similar problem with need for speed. I think it was the WIFI but definitely try a hard reset first, worked for me.
Wow. I am impressed. I have only been playing for a few minutes, but graphics are really nice and gameplay is incredibly smooth. I'm hoping it's a decent length, but we'll see about that later. Controls take a bit of getting used to, but you have the ability to adjust the sensitivity, which helps a lot.
Ok, now back to it!!
EDIT: at the startup, it says to use headphones...don't do what I did and say "meh, it can't be that much better...I'll just use PB speakers for sound for now." Use headphones!! Way better experience

Officially buying a pb on monday now! Dont care if native bbm or email is out, or no .mvk, this game is the tipping point. Hopefully there are more people like me!
Completed Chapter One. The graphics are, simply put, astonishing. They are very fluid. I found myself being quite surprised as what the Playbook is capable of considering what is currently available in the App World. It's clear from this app that given the right tools, the Playbook can hold its own against anything else on the market place in terms of graphics.
Gameplay is alright although I am constantly reminded as to why joysticks and buttons are necessary for true gaming. No offense to to EA or anyone else, but I find the controls for movement/fighting to be cumbersom.
Soundwise - take the advice from the game and use headphones. It is soo much better. All in all, this should be marketed heavily on RIM's website as to the potential of the Playbook. Solid solid app.
I'm curious - are there in-app purchases? Apparently there are for the iOS versions...
Something to do with credits, which based on my short stint playing the PC version, has to do with getting new armor and weapons and accessories....I think???

The game does have credits and it did say something about using them to upgrade weapons, etc., but from what I've seen there is no in app payment system. So far from what I've played, you get credits by finding them in "hidden" places or by killing those alien things.
I don't know if its just me but I did not realize this was a "scary" game... I'm sitting here in the corner with my headphones (on highest volume for full effect) and screaming like a little girl.
One more thing as far as length of the game, there are 12 chapters and I'm still in chapter 2. I bet you could beat it in one weekend if you tried bit like I said in a previous post there looks like theres a good amount of extras beyond story mode.

Sounds like you should wipe or get rid of something. Anyways, haven't finished the training yet in the game, but goddam did this game show up right when I needed it most.
I'm really satisfied with my current/past purchases!
Just did on my 50" 1080p plasma and it looked damn good, I still had to look at the PB to click on things on the screen but probably could get used to where things are on the screen. Would be really neat if they made a dual mode where the PB became only the controller with like a virtual xbox or ps3 type buttons.
