    Just curious about a few things.

    1) Does cross platform mean a native QNX version?

    or

    2) Do I have to sideload an Android version in order to get a version on the Playbook?

    1) It is already Native on BB, and it will more than likely be a simple convert for iOS and Android, since it works the same way for iOS and Android apps coming to BB

    2) To have a standalone BBM platform on Playbook, yes you would need to sideload the app

    Oh wow. This might be fodder for those who are not hot on the Android Player.

    Here's the real kicker; the Android version of BBM requires Android 4.0 or above, and the PB's Android player is Android 2.3. Sideloading the Android version won't even work.

    It was confirmed that BBM will need iOS6 and Android 4.0 ICS minimum

    I'd say "might" is an underestimate, unfortunately. My phrasing would be more like "probably will".
