    I have an app idea. let's say you are using your playbook. using bridge internet the whole time. blackberry is in another room. this does drain phones battery life. is it possible to create a app that you can launch once in a while to see what the blackberry's battery life is? also to add a notification that alerts you when the blackberry is at 75%, 50%, 25%,10%?

    Sounds ok to me. I don't think, for me, there is any reason for more than just one notification at say 20 percent like the z10 does. Also, i would get started on developing it right away because you just told the world your idea. Lol.

    since a lot of us still use our playbooks and legacy phones, has anyone decided to explore this idea?

    This is software related so you can't do it. Unless BlackBerry makes api for this available. Though they might as well do this themselves. Also, they should work on bb10 bridge instead
