    There are ways to stream twitch through vlc. Since kalemsoft is a somewhat versatile streamer, is there a way to get twitch streams through kalemsoft? The only alternative to get twitch on my playbook would be to root and install android apps, but I don't have the technical knowledge or confidence to do that. Plus I heard rooting puts you at risk for a dud machine. Any help would be much appreciated!

    There is no rooting of the PlayBook... you can Sideload older Android Apps.

    I used Kalemsoft a little with my PlayBook (years ago), but to be honest I never found the PlayBook a good device for streaming.

    It did work a few months ago... I used to watch some clash royale
