Beta webbased version Spotify
Spotify launched yesterday the webbased version of Spotify to a number of users. On a Dutch website (Probeer nu de webversie van Spotify! / Digimuziek Nieuws) there is a link (Spotify on Facebook | Facebook) so that anyone can try this version. It works on the Playbook! Finnaly Spotify on the Playbook

It's a bit difficult to select a track - but if you click on the song select 'Enter' on your keyboard it will play the song/playlist/album

Ah, thanks for the tip about pressing Enter on the keyboard. I hadn't been able to choose a track. I had figured out that the "Start radio" button works though, and was using that in the meantime.
EDIT: Shorter, easier to remember link: http://bit.ly/spotify_pb
BTW, I'm trying to select a track with the Enter button, it doesn't seem to be working for me. I tap the track, it goes green then I swipe up from the bottom left corner and tap enter on the keyboard. But nothing happens. Did I miss something?
EDIT: Got it to work. Seems you need to hit Enter right after tapping the track name.
EDIT: The search function doesn't seem to work all that great. Often disappears straight after clicking it.UberCurrency - Free currency conversion app for PlayBook.Thanked by:danielrivers (12-08-2012)

This deserves much more attention. This is a huge development for the PlayBook.
Absence of Spotify has been a big problem up to now.
Although it's only beta it works pretty well and is another sign of a move away from dedicated apps and towards html5 web apps -- a big bonus for PB owners. - 01-05-2013, 10:09 PM #8
Wish it came to Canada. Despite being neighbours with the USA we still don't get spotify, however UK and others do. Baffling I say
