    Hello guys,

Before trying out all kinds of file management app, anyone can suggest me a good app that will transfer files from phone to PB and works well with the 9900. My phone will be the adapter to transfer files from a micro SD to the playbook. (Photos & Videos).

    Thanks all

    Files & Folders 100% imo.
There's a free trial for the app too. Check it out.

With files and folders it seems we can only transfer pics etc via a cloud service?

Is there a direct way available, or on the horizon - via bluetooth etc?

File Browser also allows the PB to transfer files to/from the phone's internal and SD memory via bridge. Works very well for managing files/folders and is easy to use. It also has FTP capability for remote server file access, though no cloud interface currently. It is only $0.99 in App World.

Attached in a screen shot showing the folders on my 9800's SD card.

the app named "My File Manager" does it over bluetooth bridged with phone and playbook. it goes both directions. you can copy from phone memory or sd card. i have a 9800 and playbook and it works well. plus it is a great file mgt app. I've used it for 6 months or more and it was worth every cent.

File transfer via bridge is painfully slow for large files, no matter which app is used.

It is through a bridged phone.

So files & folders app does have the BT feature. Cool, I'll go with that app when the time comes.

I've found Files & Folders to work the best of several I've tried.

I use FTP Server(From App World for free) on my Playbook and a FTP client app on my Android. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do it with a BB smartphone. It's quite fast over WiFi.

    Hi,

I can propose my application : "PlayCloud".

As I'm the developer, I can provide new features if you want.

For the moment, I have planned to add :
    - Box cloud support
    - FTP support
    - locales feature (translation)
    - thumbnails feature
    and more

PlayCloud is written with native language to be faster than Files & Folders.
Moreover, I use the same skin that the native application to be better integrated.

At last, but not least, my price is cheaper

    Available in the appworld

You could use ghost commander, it'll transfer files over bluetooth but only with bridged phones I guess so it should work with your 9900
