I have had my playbook since they 1st came out and been waiting for 2.0 happily
Have now updated and the android apps available in app store aren't working tried Dolphin Browser and it shows on the home screen but when pressed on does nothing this is the same for Pool Break , anyone else having this issue?
Hey guys, i had installed the 2.0 beta for developers a while ago. my browser was working fine till i did the official os 2.0 update. now the browser would not open not to talk of load. help me please! really wanna enjoy my playbook again
Dolphin is working fine for me. I totally erased and installed 2.0 from scratch using the desktop software update technique as I had 2.0 beta and didn't want it to mess things up by upgrading.
No problem with dolphin browser here. Just DL to test now.
I suggest a stop (hold the pwer button for 15 seconds down) and start (2 secs hold) of the PB.
Let us know.
If you do have a computer available and are having issues with 2.0 and would like to totally erase everything and start fresh the method is:
-Turn off PB
-Install BlackBerry desktop software on PC (if you haven't already)
-Run desktop software on PC
-Plug PB into PC via USB while PB is still turned off
-When a dialogue appears on the PC click the "Update" button
You will lose all of your settings and installed apps doing this. (Of course apps you have already paid for will still be available to download again for free as these are tied to your BlackBerry account)
Yes I suspect a security wipe is needed also! BUT App World will know what apps you had so you can get them all back. You will lose your music, videos and any sideloaded apps, so you should back those up FIRST!
I bought my 16GB PlayBook the day before Christmas Eve & have been waiting patiently for the OS 2 update. I don't use a BB phone, & am actually going to get an Android phone via Metro PCS this week. I am just happy to have the Necessities; Calendar, Email, Contacts & when I go home, I'll check out the App store. Next up - Keyboard/Case combo & I will be a an even happier camper...
