Default No sideloading or usb access

Since OS 2.1 I have lost the ability to sideload apps using DDPB and cannot access playbook using usb. However, I can access it via wifi. Thats fine but not being able to sideload is a pain and was one of the reasons I went to playbook. I am in dev mode when I connect to DDPB, I have tried different usb cables, and tried changing my playbook password but none of this works. Any suggestions?

What does "no go" mean? You can't connect to your PB with DDPB or Chrome or you can connect but the install fails?

Just write the IP of your playbook in ddpb, write your password, enable developer mode on your playbook and press connect in ddpb.

Got it fixed but paid a price... security wipe with no backup (because I could not connect to desktop manager). I lost everything but I have a playbook that I can sideload and connect to desktop manager.
