? on unite before install

ok so i am thinking of taking the jump since i can not find any other alternatives out there for syncing my calender.
(i can't get my google sync to stop deleting past appointments, otherwise that would perfect)
so i would be installing unite on my worklaptop which has predefined timeouts to log out as most machines, not with that in mind will untie still sync on the back end as it has me not actively logged in?
also from what i am reading most of the other issues have been worked out as well correct? is there anything else i should be weary of know about. thanks for the help
