N00b issues with installation disc/roxie/and more

I haven't even had my BB for a week, so I'm a total newbie at this. I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and wanted to put some videos on my BB to pass the time. I put the disc that came with the phone in my computer and proceeded to install the program, however, it stopped me and told me that it had an issue (something about needing administrator permission which is silly because I'm the sole user of this comp). It then told me that it failed to install Roxio, but everything else was fine. Do I need it to put videos on my BB (I read the tutorial and it mentions using Roxio). The tutorial says to use your "Media Manager" but I don't have that option.
I tried to put the disc back in, but my computer doesn't even seem to notice that it's there anymore. Should I uninstall and then reinstall?

Update* I did some searching and found that it didn't install beacuse I didn't "run as administrator" which, I guess, is what I'm supposed to do since I'm running Vista.
