Desktop software

Bought a used pearl 8100 off my friend and he lost the desktop software. I went to the blackberry site but couldn't figure out what version or what I need (desktop software). The one I downloaded wouldn't even install (I have vista) How do I get what I need?

With Vista, you may have to log in as an administrator to install the OS. I don't know. As for which version to download, I'm using the English-only version without Media Manager.

You might see if ur provider gives a link for approved downloads. That would at least get started
