Default bis update stole my bbm list

I woke up today to the restore contact list screen in bbm. I'm assuming because of the bis update. So I restored (or tried) my list via my email backup and it failed. I lost all my contacts and now get the message that none of my emails are registered with the bis server. Brilliant, good job RIM.

I have to follow this thread. The missing BBM list has nothing to do with the 3.2 update.

The only change was the bis update, regardless I restored a desktop backup and got it back but email backup is still broken for me and that's purely a bis function.

Did you re register your device and send service books?

90% of errors are user error.

Don't bash the BIS update. Maybe its you!

I most certainly did. I'm not new to this game.

And also, I went to bed last night with everthing working well bis goes down for the update and I wake to a hosed bbm with zero interaction between myself and the phone. I fail to see how that could possibly be considered user error.

I fixed it myself anyway.
