Default What phone should i buy

after breaking my blackberry storm for the second time, i have decided i need a more rugged phone. I work construction and have a long history of breaking phones, long before they had giant touch screens. I don't know what would be a good phone for me. I barely use any apps on my storm but i use the crap out of the internet. What would be a good phone for me???

I guess you haven't seen the broken screens on the iPhone before? Uh, it's glass , and I've seen pics of them shattered after a fall off of a coffee table. Definitely doesn't pass the 'rugged' test.

A BlackBerry in an Otterbox case would be a decent choice. The Defender cases can take quite a beating. If you want to maintain smartphone capability, that is.

You may want to look at the Palm Pixi .. It is not made of glass like the iphone and it has real internet. No sliding screens that could break easily.

Lol cracked screen after falling off a coffee table? What was the floor made of diamonds? Or was the coffee table elevated 20 feet off the ground.

I have dropped my iPhone (no case at all) onto concrete, wood floors and tiling and the screen was never even scratched.

You recommend otterbox for BlackBerry, but there is also an otterbox case for the iPhone I believe. OP, you should check it out.

Also, the Droid is great, it is all metal. I have dropped this thing on the ground and not even a scratch, anywhere. The screen is also glass, but if I remember correctly it is made from some new type of glass and it is much better than the majority of other glass screens out there.

Every BB besides the Storm has a plastic screen. They scratch extremely easily, and they can crack too.

I toss my Storm 1 around all the time, BUT I have the OtterBox Defender case - works great! I've had my storm almost 2 years and if you take it out of the case it looks brand new. Its been through light rain, 3-4 foot drops, "slaps" up against door frames (as I walk through them) and still works as it should, no returns, no scratches only beef I have is the screen layer (top half of case) can cause "watermarks" BUT that can be easily remedied with baby powder of all things (google the quick fix) UNLESS since I've bought mine they've fixed that problem. That and the rubber case attracts dirt, debris, fix - damp cloth wipe down every 2 weeks. Two thumbs up, and a lifetime buyer of OtterBox cases for sure.

I guess you will have to decide which is more important; a rugged phone or a device that has an awesome web browser. I don't recall ever seeing a phone that has both. I would go for the rugged device seeing as though most devices wouldn't last on a construction site. I saw that Motorola has a really good military grade device on Verizon now. Good luck.

Apple's launch of the iPhone 4 has seen the greatest excitement for a new phone ever and with HD video recording, a super high resolution display and along with many other advance features, it is the most impressive gadget till now.

Maybe you just need a better case, not a sturdier phone? No smartphones are really built to be tossed around on their own...

May be you should choose the mobile phones that are in good condition. I have also dropped my mobile phone bought from davismicro.com several times, but there is nothing wrong with it. So i think no matter which brand you choose or how much money you paied for you mobile phones, the quality is the most important factor that you should consider. Don't you think so?
