    I own a G1 using T-Mobile

    For security reasons my company does not use POP or IMAP

    I know that I can simply forward an email from Outlook if I am working from Outlook. What I am talking about is actually setting up Outlook so it automatically forwards a copy of all incoming email to my Gmail account without using POP or IMAP.

    Can this be done? If so, how?

    Sure just create a rule to forward all incoming mail to your gmail account. If your company uses an exchange server the rule can "live" on the server and be in affect all the time. If not, you need to have outlook open all the time to receive and forward the emails based on the rule.

    You may also want to verify with your company that doing this would be allowed as well. If they are conerned about secuity, forwarding corporate emails to a personal account may be frowned upon.

    Check your rule. It should show something like this;

    apply this rule after the message arrives forward it to "mygoogleaddy @ gmail.com"

    No sorry habit on forum...I just do that for spam purposes

    You should see the email in your sent items. Are you on an exchange server?

    Your Exchange administator can disable automatic forwarding. If they are concerned about sercurity and disallow outside pop and imap access they is a good chance that is disabled too. As I said before, ask your IT department.
