Omnia and Google Calendar

Hello,
My issue/question is in regards to using google calendar.

For my BB, I downloaded google sync, which allows me to not only download my google calendar information, but also any shared calendars that my wife and family use. This is possible because Google sync has options that recognize shared calendars. It works great BTW.

My brother has the Omnia and is trying to use google calendar the same way. The issue is, the omnia has a windows o/s, so instead of allowing him to DL google sync, it makes him use Active Sync. As far as we can tell, there is no option to recognize shared calendars using Active sync versus google sync.

I have looked around on google, searching the FAQ and such and cannot seem to locate if this is even possible. Basically I was hoping for a difinitive answer one way or the other.

It's too bad that windows won't allow google sync to run on their o/s, that make everything easier.

If I remember right (and I maynot be), when we searched for google sync from the phone, there was no option to DL it.
