Default Nokia N97 Qusetion???

Hi guys, I just recently won a Nokia N97 from my job in a raffle. My question is this...

Since this phone is unlocked right out of the box. Can I just pop in my sim card from my Blackberry Storm into the N97??

Will I still be able to use mms/sms,web etc.....

I have Verizon Wireless by the way.

Thanks in advanced!!

Pop in your sim card and look for the new 2.0 OS that's being released for it. Get Gravity for a twitter app as it's the best app on Nokia..hands down!

I don't think the Sim card will help as Verizon uses esn numbers. If that phone is not in their database I don't think you will be able to activate it.

Give it to me so I can use it on a GSM carrier, that's the real answer (and the only amount I'd pay for a N97, free)...

Not really. The available HTC CDMA phones are generally going to be Verizon (or Sprint) branded anyways...

If all else fails I will just ebay my N97 and use that money to buy me a HTC from Verizon.......

Why get an unlocked TP2 if you can get a Verizon TP2 anyways?

The only other types of TP2's are the Sprint, AT&T and Tmobile versions. The AT&T and Tmobile one's won't work on Verizon even if unlocked. The other unbranded, unlocked TP2's are gsm only and don't even have US 3g frequencies.

Yes it does have a sim card. I think that is used for if your a roaming internationally the phone will work.

Yeah you shouldn't even need a sim card to use your verizon phones... They use ESN numbers.
