Yeah its a very nice device... Too bad I couldn't get one though, I'm on Verizon. That's one thing I miss about GSM.

I really want one... I'm thinking I would trade my 9700 (closed source propriety OS) for an N900 (open source GNU/Linux OS).

A guy I work with just got a N900, I gotta say the phone is sick. Surprisingly it's not as big and bulky as I thought it would be. The Maemo is OS is pretty cool I only got to play with it for a few minutes, But from what I saw it looks really cool.

I like Nokia devices. I was a big fan of the E71x, but never owned one. I never pull the trigger because I could always find a BB that was better. The N900 is cool, but you have to do everything in landscape mode which I don't understand why they would make a phone like that.

The landscape mode is odd to me also. It seems like Nokia is marketing this as a mobile computer that also has a phone. I'm sure in time with future firmware updates portrait mode will become standard, Either way this is going to be my phone,It's a good alternative to Android and iPhone OS.

I just read the N900 got it's first OTA and the Nokia OVI store is open for business.
