N85 is the best for the money. But it won't work on verizon. Only att and tmobile. You will only get edge with tmobile.

And you'll only get EDGE on ATT if you don't get the NAM version.

Well I have a N95 8GB which I think is really great. But I'm now thinking about a Blackberry 9630. If I stay with Nokia it might be an E71, but there's an E72 rumored although the details are a bit vague about that right now.

I think the N96 has some minor improvements over the N95 8GB, but make sure you try it out as the buttons are quite unusual - like those on the N81. Personally I prefer the N95 8GB.

    Hope this helps.

The 9630 will only work over EDGE and you'd have to import one from either Canada or the US. Plus there's no Wi-Fi. If Vodafone doesn't support EDGE, you're stuck on GPRS.

I don't like the N96. It's overpriced and laggy from what I've heard. I would get the N85 or N79. They are pretty much the same phone, it's a matter of whether you prefer a bar or a slider form factor.

Is the 9630 the one VZW is getting in place of the 9000?

Hmmm. Don't want to be stuck on GPRS. I was hoping there's be a European 3G version.....

It's been pointed out to me on another thread that xx30 is a US designation. So what I'm looking for is a 96xx like 9600. Whenever that may be.....
