Saying the iPhone "sucks" and Apple "controls" your life is not very constructive nor intelligent and I would be interested to know what exactly you mean by that.

Battery life is definitely a joke on my Imagio. Yes I have played with the myriad of settings pages. This is likely due to WinMo.

google maps DOES work, and ive been using it since i got the device. google mobile website will not recognise your device, you need to go to xda or ppcgeeks and find a link.

bb and winmo you can get lots of freeware with minimal to no restricitons. apple controls everything and charges your rear end for everything, and itunes runs the music which means you need to use itunes for everything, as with BB or winmo, you want music you plug it in the computer, and drag and drop in a folder with no special formatting required.

battery life is a joke compared to a blackberry.....but its not totally bad. i work 12 hour days and still have life leftover, actually its almost the same as my storm...just a tad worse.


now my opinions on this thing...

the camera plain sucks. the UI is not very friendly. phone works better WITHOUT touchflo, and when you choose NOT to close programs on X is better because mine kept locking up every time it closed a program on X. the camera is useless...too effing slow to take a picture of even still life! horrid and that alone makes me want to get a storm2 when it drops.

i will admit, its better than most phones made by HTC and Winmo, but still not good enough to keep it. i will be trading it in for a different device.

Go to settings, all settings, today, uncheck touchFLO 3D, hit ok (top right).

You need to increase the ISO on the camera. The lower the light the higher you need to set the ISO. I sure hope they fix the speed of the Storm2 if not your going to be unhappy with this also.

the more i play with the phone the more i like it! still cant get music to work which is a bummer everything else works really really well with no probs at all!

Ive had this phone since Oct. 6th and for the most part, I love it. My only complaint is that the keyboard is near impossible to use w/o mistakes when turned sideways. I have an easy time using the keyboard when the phone is upright. The battery life is awesome! It lasts me 2 full days when fully charged and I use the phone all day long.

i was having probs with typing but then found the keyboard alignment thing and man its easy to typ my storm was awful! I really like this Phone now that i've had time to learn how things work. the only thing that bugs me is that you can find screen protectors anywhere for this phone yet.... or at least I havent had luck. and i would like to have some kind of protective cover for it and there aren't many options available. I sure soon there will be more accessories available soon and the app store will keep getting better. People complain about apps but if any of you got the storm when it first came out you may remember having the same issue .. now you can get anything on the storm. so we'll see. meanwhile i'm enjoyin g a solid working phone where every time my boss calls the phone isn't froze and i have to pull my battery and wait for a reboot til i can call back hahah.

well I am posting this from my day old imagio. this phone is the final nail in my winmo attempt. I have had a few before and had high hopes for this one. hardware is outstanding. wish it had anything but winmo. touchflo is very nice looking but 6.5 kills this thing. ANY berry, android or even the icrap is better than this. I know some will disagree but if you like a smooth running phone this is not for you. winmo takes everything you dislike on a pc and puts it on your phone.
but the hardware is outstanding, if you can deal with the OS! if you have fingers larger than a 3 year old get ready to use the backspace a lot. back to the storm or tour for me.

I guarantee you can make it run smooth with a custom rom...

Also if you don't like TF3D, ditch it and use SPB MS 3.5. It runs a lot faster too.

storm one was way faster. i did adjust the ISO, it still stinks

Got a car charger, sync cord, and case for $9 on Amazon. you can buy a screen protector for like the storm and custom cut it.

I had to send back the test unit I had last week. Ordered one for myself which will be here tomorrow. Biggest thing I know I will miss from my Tour and Storm is BBM. We'll see how it goes with using this as my primary phone.
