Default Htc hd2 no!!! Iphone killer

so before its release it has already been deemed by many reviewers as no iphone killer by any means due to its app store. and the fact that his has nothing more to bring to the table besides a better camera, and a different looking OS.

(being on windows mobile though that doesnt stand for much)

So how do you guys out there think this thing will sell here in the states or is this even a market it should be released in.

Hope it gets released in the US on Sprint. Its a better phone than the iphone but won't be nearly as popular, sell as well, or get the recognition has the iphone simply because its running windows mobile on it. But it definitely is better than the iphone specs wise.

It'll sell to the everyday user who wants to look important, but didn't do their research in phones, ahaha. No one else will buy it, unless it's free

Everywhere I read points to the HD2 going to TMobile USA. If it came to Verizon I would be interested. I expect to see a lot of new phones with similar specs running Android in early 2010.

I think it's a really great phone hardware wise. I'm not a big fan of WinMo or sense UI but again, the hardware specs are nice. I've seen the reviews on youtube, the display is awesome and moves fast.

The hardware is top notch on this device, The only thing that sucks is WinMo.A Android port would make this a perfect device.

Take the apps out of the picture and I don't even think it is close if the HD2 was a Android. But the apps are there and Android will be making gains in the coming months. It's been said before 100,000 apps and 1000 fart apps!!! for the Iphone.

So is that what it takes to be considered an Iphone killer, an app store with 99,950 fart apps and 50 decent ones. I have an IPod Touch (terrible battery life) and its an ok device but am I the only thinking person alive that is not impressed with the Apple app store? It's full of worthless apps and even more worthless games. They do make it easy to download music. I will give that to them.

I actually hate when a phone gets labeled an "iPhone Killer" by either reviewers, analyst, fanboys, whatever. I hate it because it puts the expectation for the phone so much higher than it needs to be and changes the rating for the phone drastically versus if it were just reviewed by itself. Unfortunately, any touchscreen phone that's released going forward will always be compared to the iPhone. No phone can be a killer though because to say that means that they have all the backing to compete with the iPhone which no company has or has developed at this point in time.

The iPhone is in an area all on it's own and having Apple computers to start out with was a big helping to that, along with the extreme apple fans that were already in place when the iPhone came out.

Anyhoo, still looking forward to this phone being released in North America.
