Default From Wind to Fido with bb9700

Has anyone made the switch from Wind to Fido with a bb9700?? I purchased the phone from Wind and would like to give it to my other half so she can use it with Fido. Is this possible?? Will she get the same reception as all other fido phones?? Thanks ahead for all the replies.

It would work, but only in EDGE mode. The 3G bands are different for WIND versus Fido.

Beating the dead horse, 2G only, does she plan on using BIS?

No she does not plan to use BIS. I don't even know what that is actually. Sorry fellas I am new to the blackberry. I just want to know if she will get the same data and coverage speeds as she would if she were to purchase a regular phone from Fido. I am guessing she won't because its 2G correct??

Yup, exactly. The only difference is she'll get 2G speeds as opposed to 3G speeds, along with the coverage of Fido's (Rogers') 2G network instead of the 3G network (which actually has greater coverage).
