| | Just My Guess
Okay so No real news on the Blackberry on Virgin, but I feel like since they are getting the HTC One V, which is a pretty upscale device for Prepaid. So this would be a perfect time to introduce a new Blackberry in the mix. I would put my money on them adding another curve, it's probably the only model virgin will ever have. Most likely it would be a Curve 3G or Virgin could surprise us and add the 9350. The 9350 would be great because it would go along with more premium devices like the HTC one V. That's just a guess but hopefully the new phones, whatever they pick, will be out by end of march or beginning of April.
*Boost could also get a new Blackberry but it's less likely because they already have the curve 8530 still.

| | Simple Mobile IS Better!
I recommend you guys go to Simple Mobile.
I was on Virgin Mobile USA and really loved their service! Their network (Sprint) is very reliable and fast. However, it's quite annoying that you only have several choices for a phone. Plus, you cannot use the phone outside of the country.
I then went to Simple Mobile and the flexibility of their services lets me use virtually ANY phone I want, as long as it is GSM-based and unlocked. So if you are a Blackberry fan, you can use a phone like the 7230 to even the latest Bold 9900. Also, their BIS plan is $50 unlimited everything, plus can even use their non-BIS unlimited everything plan, which is $40 a month. They even have an unlimited international calling add-on for $10 a month!
Virgin Mobile USA is an excellent company, but Simple Mobile is simply better, as it lets the user choose virtually any phone he/she wants, has the lowest, best-valued plans in the market and gives you access to T-Mobile's network (which is the roughly the same size as Virgin Mobile/Sprint).

I need to keep it for awhile before I can go to simple... Which I will, once I get the Bold that I want! |

They now have a BB plan that has 100 mins, and unlimited messaging and data for $40.

(I use this)
Many people say Blackberries, without BIS, are useless, but I disagree. With the $40 a month plan I use, I get the standard call and text features, and yes, data! My Opera browser works very well - I can check bank statements, check my emails, news, etc. Also, just like RIM's servers, Opera compresses and filters your data, so you use less data and are protected from viruses, malware, etc.
Also, many apps work with your phone. Some may need to be reinstalled with different service settings to work, but many others do not (e.g. Opera).
The only real factor I see missing without BIS is the push email (but again, there are some apps for that )...
Ultimately, it's up to what you need. And for me, the $40 Non-BIS plan more than adequately provides me with all I need in a phone - I am one happy camper. |

Like strictly for work or a BB your employer gave you to use for work. I'm sure there are more differences but that's all I know and again, I could be wrong lol.
