Default virgin mobile usa 8530

A few questions about the virgin mobile usa curve 8530...

1. What version of 5.0 is it running?

2. Is tether or pdanet legal to use on it?

3. Is it reliable for BBM and internet? (I know of past texting, MMS and other problems)

1. 5.0.0.601
2. No idea, but i doubt it.
3. Yes. Basically if you have Sprint coverage in your area, your good to go. It'll function exactly like any other blackberry. Haven't had any delayed messages as of yet (Ive had it for a week). MMS works fine.

Hard to beat at $35 a month.

It depends on whether or not a Touchscreen is a dealbreaker for you. (Also, the Intercept will come with 2.1 Eclair, FYI)

Well i dont mind the touchscreen and saving 10 extra dollars a month sounds nice. I'll have to wait until virgin releases more info about the launch i guess.
