Virgin Mobile US update to 1030

Just got the notice on my VMUS 8530 that an update to 1030 is available. Is 1030 better for battery life, and if so, are there any negative trade-offs?

I downloaded the update last month, and performance-wise, I did not notice any difference (including battery life). It did, however, fix a language glitch I had in the Blackberry Apps menu (all were in Portugese!).

I recommend you download the update, as it will most likely fix any glitches and patch up security holes that were in the last OS version.
