Hence, both use Sprint's network, so it's a bit odd that you had network troubles with Virgin, but not with Sprint. Also Virgin uses Sprint's newer, bigger PCS network and while Boost also uses this, they primarily use the older, Nextel network.
Customer service, from my experience, is more than adequate. While they seem to lack a bit of knowledge on some Blackberry matters (e.g. BIS vs BES), they have been more than helpful in where it counts (e.g. phone activation, account settings, etc).
