So here's Bell's story/version:
First I called the tech. support. They took my number and confirmed that they could see the dropped calls and difficulties. They say that the network teams have been aware of the problem since Sept. 2008 and won't give a delay as to when the problem will be resolved.
I asked to be transfered to Customer Service to complain. I'm self employed and can't afford to not have a functionnal phone from my home.
I was on hold with a rep who was on hold with a manager for about 30 minutes. Basically, they told me I could opt out of my contract without any fees because they can't fix the problem. So really, they don't care. It also tells me that the problem is not close to be resolved.
So now I'm stuck because Rogers dosen't work out here ans Telus does but dosen't have great coverage overall across Canada (Iv'e heard).
The Customer Rep said that the fact that we have a Telecommunications tour on our property does not assure good reception. Its all about the traffic and available waves. Apparently, all carriers face this problem.
This may explain your reception problem at work?
Who knows!
