My dad and I are also having the same problems. I have the Tour and he has the World Edition. On mine it will say 1X or 1xev, but not in capital letters. On my dad's World Edition it will just say 1X only. He finally got through to a BlackBerry rep from Bell and said their working on the problem.

Bell is aware of this. It's not a RIM thing. It's their entire data network that is down. Those with the Pre sucked more because the phone would go into activation mode (no calls and no text) when you power it off then on. At least I can deal with Text messaging while I go through Berry withdrawal. Hehe.

Hehe...same here, but it's damned hard to do my job when all I have to work with is SMS! I normally use BB Msngr for dealing with Job issues, and arranging Staffing. Never realized how dependant I had become on it, until today.

Just as a side note, Telus is having same issues. One of my employee's is with them, and he's having the same problems.

Just a thought...isn't today or tomorrow supposed to be the roll out of the new BIS server?
Wonder if that has anything to do with it?
