Default Moving to Montreal

Hi, I'm moving to Montreal and need to find a service provider with the best plan for US and Canada. The plans in Canada seem a lot more complicated than the ones I'm used to in the US. Looks like the providers can nickel and dime you to death. Thanks for your help.

Sadly, all cell plans in Canada are very expensive. The mobile carries that I know of are Rogers, Bell, Telus, Fido. I'm sure Quebec has one of their own french ones. Rogers is probably your best bet. Has the better phones.

Do you plan on driving through the US, and is this why you want the plan?

If so, my ONLY advice is to turn it off and not pick it up unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

4 day roadtrip this summer = $800 bill from Bell

My experience, and .02

Verizon Nationwide plus Canada its the cheapest option you will find. For BB service you will need a Global Data plan which is a bit pricey at $65 per month but worth it in my opinion. A lot will depend on your needs though. I live in Canada but spend 3 to 5 days a week in the US.

If you plan to only use thge phone in Canada then Bell or Telus is you best choice in my opinion, I never had much luck with Rogers. Canadian carriers nickel and dime you to death

Good luck

Dr B
