Default Mobilicity (Edmonton)

Anyone having trouble with Mobilicity in Edmonton? I switched over to them this weekend, and I've largely been unable to connect to the network -- more than half the time, it tries to go into roaming or simply has no service at all, and when I am on the network, I generally have zero or one bar.

I tried connecting to the network while it thought it was down, and it told me that my SIM card doesn't allow a connection to the Mobilicity network. Basically I'm wondering whether the problem is with the network or with my SIM card. The CSR I asked at an outlet hadn't heard of any problems, so I'm leaning towards the latter.

Hello There TIM

With all the regret i have to say is the carrier problem Mobilicity, I have a friend shes also on MC and im on Bell and to be honest i have full signal and she has only 3 bars in the city
One example i was at Wizard lake yesterday and i had 3G coverage there and she didn't have non even the SOS was off .

In my opinion i rather pay 15$ more for my plan and im shore i have signal all around Canada i don't say Bell is the best provider out there but they are alternative to chose from like Rogers and Telus.
And to be honest Rogers have the best signal and coverage in Canada but i don't like their plans and they data .

Hope you will reconsider and i hope im right here if not then you can ask around some one might help you with the situation but in may opinion is the Provider problem rather then the Phone

Good Luck.

What device are you using on Mobilicity? You cannot use the Rogers branded 9800. Mobilicity uses the 1700/2100 MHz frequency bands (same as Wind Mobile Canada and T-Mobile USA). They do not have an EDGE network. As a result, any phones branded to any carriers beside Mobilicity, Wind Mobile, and T-Mobile USA will not work.
