Default Metro Pcs BB Plan Makes A Difference

Hello guys
I recently got a metro blackberry and got it flashed. Ok so now i find out that i cant do alot of things like cant stream youtube, pandora ect. I think the reason i cant do this is because i have a regular internet plan that applies to regular metros? So i think i need to upgrade to the blackberry Plan it includes Advanded HTML browsing and it states that it lets you browse as if you were on the computer could this be my BIG/Small Problem to not being able to stream any site?

Hard to say..kind of...you'd need to check your TCP/IP settings as well to make sure they are set in order to gain some functionality as you are not using the BB service anyways. But with that said, MetroPCS has taken out the APN settings from their devices..so flashing it could be your issue here and nothing to do with the plan.

But really, a BB without a BB plan makes little to no sense anyways, crippled features are to be expected. This why BB plans exist, $50 gets ya Unlimited everything.

Default This has been covered a lot...

No youtube streaming on the 8330m for Metro - The closest I have gotten is in Bolt Browser which will buffer and then pop back to "click play to watch video" - Also, most streaming music wont work. As for the reason your BB shows as an a850 in the Metro system I don't know - I do know this - The only way to enter a non-Metro device ESN into Metro's database is by HoudiniFlash, and no BB devices are supported in HoudiniFlash. The other way is to have a clever person clone the esn from an old Metro Phone onto your new device. Then text and talk, and sometimes web will work - I have seen it work in the case of some Windows Mobile phones - Now, if this is the case with with your phone, you will not be able to get on the Metro BB plan - Access to the plans is based on the esn of the device in question - meaning, in the software Metro uses to set up phones, first the ESN is entered and then the Metro employee is presented with a group of plans to choose from that are applicable to that phone ESN, if your phone has a cloned ESN from an a850, the BB plan will not be presented within the software. If you have Web browsing working, you are very lucky - there may be some other way to back door it - check out how people have gotten BB's to work on Boost there may be some information there - Even if you have a true Metro Blackberry, many programs/websites just won't work - I have yet to get SitorSquat, Pandora, Moodio. Youtube, Moodio, and a few others - some others - Slacker was working, but since I updated the software, it doesn't - I'm not sure why, as it is my understanding that the Metro Blackberry offers the same BIS / BES as every other Blackberry. Hope this information helps --
