Default Fido and Blackberry offer

Fido is offering only 1 Blackberry model, the 8100 Pearl. Why don't they offer other models??

I know we can buy an "Unlocked" and "owner PIN released" Rogers blackberry and use it with Fido data plans. Or this change of carrier not gonna work?

If its going to work, thus, the question is why?

Any advice?

Well Fido is owned by Rogers so it is somewhat understandable if you can buy an unlocked one from Rogers and use the Fido data plan?
Fido is Rogers' version of Hollister for Abercrombie. They offer more affordable models and slightly cheaper plans cause they wanna capture that consumer market on top of the parent Rogers brand. Same thing with Koodo and Telus.

Personally I would buy an unlocked bb and go with the Fido data plans just cause I find Rogers overpriced imo. Ha sorry if I didnt' answer your question so technically :P

Fido isn't a big company nor a parent company .. Its directed at younger people for their plans .. Its like solo for bell they only offer the pearl as well just recently because the parent company wants the new customers to come to them for the higher priced plan
