Default Cincinnati Bell, Tether, and Me

I have a Blackberry (Curve 8320) and I am on Cincinnati Bell. I do not have tethering and went in to the store to see if I could get it for a month. Because of my billing cycle and the time I will be on the road, I would be charged for two months ($60) and I am going to be on the road for 10 days. Bummer. No thanks.

So, I thought that perhaps I could buy Tether (used to be Tetherberry) for $50 and use that. I would like to know:
  1. Would Cincinnati Bell charge me extra because I would be tethered? i.e. the find out and charge me anyway?
  2. Does it work with Cincinnati Bell?
  3. Has anyone else tried Tether with their Cincinnati Bell plan on the road, did it work well?
Thanks for any help you can provide on this question. I am planning to try to download the Tether and try it out before I go anywhere but I would like to know what the collective wisdom of others amounts to here. Thank you for your time in answering this.

Below are your APN settings for Tether. If your carrier charges for APN setting then you will have extra fees if not you won't see any charges unless you go over your data plan. I'm pretty sure that Tether will work with your carrier. Like you said try the trial and see how it goes.

I did take a look at the Tether site. There was a problem in May with some of the clients getting data charges. I hope that was resolved. Does anyone know anything about the resolution of that?
