Default Centennial Wireless Issues

I am a centennial customer around Indianapolis and I have been having more problems with my data networks than I have ever had before. I go from EDGE to just edge sometimes to acroynms I've never heard of like gprs. I have even looked at my phone a few times to see that the network was shut off and I either have to go into network connections and turn it back on or it wil sometimes turn back on by itself.
I've never realy had problems such as these before and was hopeful it had to do with the whole buyout. Anybody else having these issues or have any insight?
Thanks

Johnny, it's been a while since I logged on, I work for Centennial and we haven't been having any issues company wide with data roaming in Indy that we know of. Have you had the same issues near Anderson/Muncie/New Castle area? Those are all Centennial home data network areas. If it is working in those areas, you might want to have the phone checked a local store, if it is not working in those areas, you might want to have a trouble ticket submitted through the customer care center. Hope this helps ya out!

Default Same issue

I have to say that I travel alot, and when I get into Indy and get onto AT&T for the Roaming, I have issues, I was traveling constantly back and fourth for 4 weeks, and for about 6 weeks I called EVERYDAY about my phone, wether it be my Data not working, or my phone not making or reciving calls. at some places with full signal and Centennial claiming they see nothing wrong with me phone, I would be lucky to have a download rate of 8-30 kb/s in that area, I would make them send reset everyday, and switch resets, that normaly worked for about 12-24 hours. their service is really bad down there. and the bad thing is you noticed that I said I had trouble longer then I was down there, because it wasnt untill I removed the Blackberry Data from my phoen it all worked again. now I have the Data back, and I did roam once, over to Kankakee, and about 30 miles south of there, and it worked find there. but the Indy area seams to be a problem Zone.

Centennial SUCKS! Absolutely the WORST data connection I have EVER seen. I've been with almost all major GSM US carriers, and by far I am least satisfied with Centennial. I'll be sitting in my room and go from full EDGE to no network, to roaming GSM to edge. Constantly I'll look at my phone and see EDGE, only to try to access the internet or BBM to see it switch to edge. When I stop trying to access data it goes back to EDGE. When I was with T-mo I paid 19.99 for BIS (now its 24.99). T-mo has GREAT BB coverage. Never was I without signal. I always got my BBM messages promptly, something that does not happen with CW. I'll get a BBM days after someone sent it. MMS? Good luck. The worst part is its almost twice as much as T-mo's data plan, comin in at a ridiculous 34.99.

So to anybody researching cell companies and coming here, DON"T GET CENTENNIAL. Don't be swayed by the $0 deposit or the no contract plan. Wait until its bought out by AT&T.. I swear the coverage better get better when that happens.

Darth_Doug, sorry, I work in the Northern IN area and we don't have the same reception issues that you seem to have up in MI. I am assuming that this is where you are having the issues. We have multiple store reps that use the Blackberry 8310 and non of us have issues with data connectivity!

Have you reported the issues to your local store? If so did they offer to submit a trouble ticket for you? If not you may want to request that they submit one for you!

If you want to PM me, I can look into it for ya! Some basic info would help.

Sorry that my response took so long, been on vacation and haven't logged in for a while!

Centennial Wireless doesn't cover Indy area. That would be someone else's system you are on. It goes gprs, edge, then EDGE. It's the level of 2g that you are on.

Actually your coverage will be the same because AT&T is going to use our towers. So how does acquiring our towers for AT&T to use make your signal any better??? That is why we are being bought by them to improve their coverage!!!
