Can't get a text through to a UK cell....what gives?

I've tried everything.... dropping the 0, adding 01144, adding 44....

Bell is my provider, there shouldn't be anything holding me back, since I can call the girl, I just can't text her.

There is something holding you back. Bell blocks all outgoing international text messages you need to call them to tell them you intend to send texts internationally. Its just so you dont accidently send them and try to get your money back later on.

Once you call them they will enable it and you will be good to go

Hrmm, I called them today, they said they didn't have that on my account. I text friends in Australia regularly as well.

Update however, I spent an hour on the phone with tech support and they couldn't figure out anything. We tried a few different combinations with them, but nothing worked. On my end, we're going to see if it has something to do with the UK cell provider or her plan in general.

Very strange situation, as I've never had problems texting international before
