No, it won't roam for me either. My network selection mode is on automatic.

probably not. Boost blocks off network roaming, as Sprint believes that this should be a "perk" to being a post-paid sub.

soon Sprint Prepaid (VM, Boost mobile and a TBA third network) will unveil a "3 tiered strategy" to pre-paid, that MIGHT eventually see roaming, but I wouldn't hold my breath
