It doesnt matter that you are on Metro.
Battery Pull - remove back cover while blackberry is on, and remove battery for 15 seconds. Re insert battery and let BB reboot. (this should be done every 3 days or more depending on your use)
and then yes, register the device in the HRT
hope this helps

Did it, waited for 30 seconds and then waited for the phone to get enabled and the hrt and register... Changed from 1x to 1X and still that way, no it didn't changed... Internet seems stronger though, and I already updated the PRL on my phone by calling *228... What should I follow now?

You could be in a low data area. XEV is not everywhere yet on any carrier. The 1X is standard days connection a d 1x is no data only talk and text work

Thanks guys for the support, but MetroPCS is changing the phone, I went there and they deternmined the intetnet phone was a equipment defect, the tech rep said she had never heard about such issues with the BlackBerry on Metro. The bad thing, today is Thursday, and have to wait till Wednesday next week to get my new BB, almost a week!, I hope the new one is way better and it says 1XEV (she said not always says that... I'll take that as a never.
Does somebody have had issues with their BlackBerry Curve 8330m on Metro PCS? Share your stories here please.
And if you have this phone in this network, does your phone says 1x, 1X or 1XEV???
Thanks.

I'm going to sue metro pcs for misleading information... But I can ruin its future with blackberry, and the samsung code with windows mobile 6.1 just went out yesterday.

| | My phone says 1x
My bb says 1X i've never seen a 1XEV. I don't think its a bug or anything becouse from what i understand ,this means that that is the strength of the reception your getting. Could be wrong though ,i've never payed much attention to it ,but i do look at from time to time wondering when its's going to turn 1XEV.
