So if the pre is coming out for bigV???
So if the palm pre is coming out for the big red V in Jan 2010 will it still have wifi??? because all of us here kno that the big V is notorious for leaking info that a phone (specifically blackberries) might have a chance to get wifi and get everyones hopes up, and then we come to find out verizon took out the wifi on purpose
. So what i wanna kno is if verizon is gonna take the wifi in the palm pre? Thanks in advance guys

I don't think anyone knows for sure, but whats the hottest consumer oriented (smart) phone Verizon offers vs the iPhone, G1, and/or now the Palm Pre? Arguably the Blackberry Storm which people bitched and moaned about it not having Wifi, and the Blackberry Tour that's coming out for Verizon is supposedly the last Blackberry not to have Wifi included while other smart phones on Verizon (Omnia and HTC Touch Pro for example) do have Wifi.
Verizon would be STUPID not to have Wifi in their next Palm Pre life device, not because of the argument whether one needs it or not, but simply to give the consumer that option that other carriers offer in their phones. - 06-25-2009, 10:51 AM #3

You guys are dopey. Wifi isn't on any CDMA blackberry right now b/c (at least until the still-rumored upcoming devices) CDMA and wi-fi blackberries weren't playing nicely together. Bad battery drain and possible security issues.
Palm Pre uses a completely different OS than blackberry. There are other wi-fi enabled devices on Verizon. One person can make a difference.

The keyboard is small but i am now used to it. Picked up my curve and now the curve keyboard felt too big. Go figure.

A great OS. I love how i can have so many cards open and still have no lag. Write a long Txt without any lag. WebOS is a very well built OS

Ditto. The OS is what makes the pre. From what I have read, they are coming out with fiffernt variations of hardware involving the OS. Now who here would buy a Bold (or a Storm) style and hardware with a Pre OS?
