There are always people who will complain. They should have known about the keyboard when they bought the phones.

I unlike most people research on everything before i buy it. So when i got the pre i was not surprised that it doesnt do this or that (yet)

See..that is something I will never complain about. I don't like onscreen keyboards.

People always complain, if the phone had no physical keyboard people would want one, now it doesn't have a virtual keyboard people want one. Phone manufacturers should just make phones with slide/fold out keyboards and virtual ones fresh off.

the iphone got bashed for not having a physical keyboard because using the portrait only on screen keyboard was annoying at times. they solved that issue by adding a landscape keyboard.
pre owners are complaining about the lack of a touchscreen keyboard because the physical portrait only keyboard is really bad. after a few months of typing on the pre keyboard all pre users hands will look like this...

That's funny, because I've been thinking for a long time that Blackberry users are starting to look like this...pre owners are complaining about the lack of a touchscreen keyboard because the physical portrait only keyboard is really bad. after a few months of typing on the pre keyboard all pre users hands will look like this...

the phone that guy is holding has a MUCH better keyboard than the one on the pre. i bet pre owners wouldn't complain about the lack of a touchscreen keyboard if there's was at least that good.

Didn't they discover in that OS release that there was already an onscreen keyboard in the OS but it wasn't activated?

on screen keyboard was discovered while trying to hack webkit. however, it is completely useless without an significant OS upgrade, just like the pre's physical keyboard is useless without a complete redesign. maybe pre 2 will have all of this done the right way.

And how do you come to this conclusion (not that it matters, since you are a troll, and OS upgrades appear to be less of a major feat for Palm than they seem to be for RIM)?on screen keyboard was discovered while trying to hack webkit. however, it is completely useless without an significant OS upgrade... - 07-23-2009, 07:29 PM #20
Right. So they want to type on a virtual keyboard via BB Storm and Instinct esque? Those suck and not only that, the whole screen disappears so you can type on the keyboard.
