The OP can choose not get the Pre due to your experimenting with the SDK.
The OP can do whatever he wants to. I chose not to wait for a WebOS device on AT&T partly as a result of my experiments with the SDK. How Palm chose to implement GSM 3G also played a part as did reports of hardware defects in the Sprint models. The Pixi doesn't even have Wi-fi.
