Okay so, I just found out that the MVNO of T-Mobile might have Blackberry Internet Service soon! Apparently this quarter (May/June/July/August) I just wanted to let any berry Simple Mobile users know.

When do you guys think they will get it because i was planning on switching to simple mobile... but now that i found out that u cant use the internet or send/recieve pic messeges i dont know if i should get it.

I heard about that as well and I have an unlocked Storm 9530 too. I'm going to switch to simple mobile like this week anyway cause I heard about BIS for simple mobile.

actually ALL the functions do work with SimPle mobile. i have a CLIQ XT with the new $60.00 unlimited everything paln, and it's the bomb! i think the issues are with the blackberrie right now until the get on the BIS. i really can wait cuz i'm a huge blackberry fan.

I was talking to customer service today and the lady told me she thought they were getting Blackberry service next month

I sent simple mobile an email yesterday asking about BIS, and they will be launching it at the end of this month. Supposedly. I am awaiting the launch of BIS before I move over to them.

Same here... Sent CS another email and the response I got was that it definitely was launching in september, the exact date is unknown, but lets hope it does launch this month. I have everything working on my 9700, except I can't browse with the default browser and I cant send or receive MMS. Other than that its all Good

BBM wont work without BIS, I will try some IM apps and see if they work...

Actually, yes I was able to connect to skype and gtalk via im+ lite. I didn't try aol or icq because I don't remember my logins, (its been 10+ years since I have seriously used either) (damn that's a scary thought)
However gtalks app just spun its wheels

To get im+ to connect you need to run the autoconfig and let it do its automagic..
