Default Sim card for data plan for Denmark and Germany?

I'll be traveling to Denmark and Germany for a couple weeks soon. Since the Blackberry Torch (on AT&T) is still relatively new, I'm having serious doubts that I'll be able to use data over there. So I have several questions:

1) if I buy the 200 meg international data plan to add on to my current plan, will the torch have the proper service books to roam on O2, E-plus, or whoever the roaming agreement is with over there?

2) Is there a better way to do that other than pay a dollar a meg through AT&T? I've done a bunch of searching and it seems like there aren't very many pre-paid plans for blackberry data. Am I just SOL for trying to buy a sim card from over there?

I don't need minutes. I won't be calling anyone. But I'd like to update facebook with random trip pictures etc. And I'm a heavy FB user
