Put a UK SIM in a US Blackberry?

My husband has a spare 2 year old blackberry he used on AT&T.

Can I take this to the UK with me and put a SIM card in it such as one from the Carphone Warehouse?

I have a second-hand unlocked AT&T BB Torch bought online and it works fine with a Pay as You Go SIM card in the UK, so I guess the answer is yes.

Yes as long as it's unlocked, my Storm 2 9550 is running fine on Orange UK.
