Pay as you go data option for blackberries in italy

Hello i'll be spending sometime in Italy soon and i wanted to know if there is an option (like in the UK on orange) to get data via a pay as you go plan. Meaning i take my unlocked blackberry put an italian sim card in it, add credit and be able to email and bbm.

I checked the website for TIM but the engiish version seems empty and my italians not good enough to deciper the italian pages. I'll be checkin vodaphone and 3 shortly...was hoping someone would no something that'd save me time.

Both Vodafone Italy and 3 offer prepaid BIS....Vodafone Italy has both a 3G and an EDGE network whereas 3's network is 3G only.

Vodafone's prepaid BIS is 2 Euros per week for unlimited BIS and 3's network offers it at 5 Euros for a whole month.

Let me warn you though, the customer service reps only speak Italian and the BIS plans can only be activated with certain plans (i.e. you have to have a certain voice tariff active for BIS to work) so find a native speaker to help you set it up.
