Smile Orange Pay Monthly.

Hi, i didn't know where to ask this so if I'm in the wrong place then i apologize in advance.

I'm currently really interested in getting the Curve 8520 on Pay monthly. I've looked around a few networks and i think in my opinion i've found the best deal on Orange. Its Dolphin 35 and it consists of 600 Anytime Minutes, Unlimited Texts, Email, Internet and Photo Messaging. I'm rather happy with this but a little confused also. With this package i'm i free to use the likes of BB Messenger and App World without costing me more. If somebody could get back to me ASAP that would be great as im wanting to order this in the next few days.

Thanks in Advance.

Steven Charlton.

Welcome to CrackBerry, Steven.

I have found two good deals for BlackBerrys in the UK. There may well be more so please research the subject before you buy.

The cheapest I have found is a on Orange. It is PAYG Dolphin + a £5/month BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) deal. You must have BIS to make the BlackBerry work. Orange say that they include "unlimited" internet access in this deal but unlimited today usually means "fair usage". I have this on my backup phone in the car. I hardly ever use it for calls but it's nice to have.

This Orange deal is really cheap if you don't use your phone very much for calling. Obviously you can change the calling minutes option at will.

The second deal I use on my main phone is an O2 Simplicity 600 package. This gives me 600 minutes, free calls to any landline, unlimited SMS adn BIS with "unlimited" web access. This costs £25/month. Actually mine costs £19.50 but they changed the deal.

Like I said earlier, there are probably other deals out there but I just have not found them.

If you're going to get a Blackberry on Pay Monthly you might aswell get a 9700, if you're getting 600 minutes on the contract then I'm sure that you will be eligible for a free one? You won't regret it, it's a great device.

Is with BIS on PAYG on Orange possible to get 3G signal? Or only GPRS/EDGE?
