Orange BIS down ?

Hi, got my BB 8520 a few days ago. I topped up £5 then rung Orange to activate the BIS on my account.

They said it can take upto 48 hours. I've waited 2 days, the £5 credit is still there and I cannot use BBM or any other service.

I rung Orange again and they told me RIM are having problems at the moment, so I have to wait another few days. I should receive a text message stating that BIS have been activated.

Anyone on Orange having this problem? very annoying having to wait!

Vodafone UK contract customer on BIS absolutely fine, the upgrade to BIS 3.2 happened last week so there should be no reason.

It is the network that add's the BIS not RIM and when Vodafone activated mine it was active within minutes!

Thanks. It seems to be working fine now.

I registered to Orange' BB Mail Service online, then everything worked all of a sudden (Mail and BBM). However, I still have £5 balance.

I still seem to have the £5 sitting in my account! my BBM seems to have a slight delay too. My friend added me last week, and his invite only came through this morning!

Anyone know why I'm having these problems? thanks.

I'm on Orange, woke up this morning and my BIS isn't working AT ALL.

What's worse, is I'm on a Torch 9800 and I don't know how to fix this on the new OS.

Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem! Works fine when connected to a wifi connection.

I called Orange but they couldn't help! The girl told me she would ask their " Blackberry Guru" to call me..... still waiting for the call.

I have exactly the same problem today. I can only receive my emails through WIFI. I tried resending my service books from the Orange BIS website and they arrived also through wifi. Mine is a 8520. My signal is gprs, not GPRS but I have items listed under host routing tables and service books.

How is your luck?
