o2 UK calls show connected but no sound

Hi, I wonder if anyone has experienced the same issue or has any ideas? I am on the O2 network in the UK. Here's the problem:

When making and receiving calls the handset shows connected but neither party can hear anything.

This is an intermittent problem but a real pain. I have done a several hard resets but the problem keeps happening and I can't see any pattern to it. A few of my colleagues on the same network are having the same problem so the fault doesn't seem to be specific to my phone.

Any ideas?

This has been happening for me too. I assumed it was a hardware/software problem rather than a network one. Good to see I am not alone!

I've been havin the same problem.
Maybe I should have made the thread here, I just saw the 9700 section and put it in there

I tried linking, but it says I need 10 posts or more to link the thread, its in there though.

But theres Americans and others in there, so maybe they can help more than us no idea o2 users haha, mine works now (hope I don't jinx it :s) knowin my luck it wont last long lol, hope you guys find a solution or my thread can get some answers
