Im also on o2 and they are always slow with updating doubt youll see a official 7.1 from them anytime soon... its safe to install another carriers os 7.1 aslong as you delete the vendor.xml file after installing... dont wait on o2 to release anything

Hey thanks for the reply I'm on the stock os 7.0.0 296 and I'm happy with it for now but I would like to try 7.1. Looking forward to trying hotspot and anything else that's new. Cheers

Imo if your an advanced user the .585 release with .540 radio file is the best one with incredible battery life.... you should really upgrade when the newer versions come out to fix bugs etc... but anyway 7.1 should be just around the corner

So if an official upgrade comes out for another carrier does that mean it would be safe to use on my o2 9900. Sorry if that's a stupid question I've only upgraded when official o2 os's have been released. Cheers

Yeh that's right... I was like you when I first got my new BB not sure if if was safe etc.. Waiting for O2 is just a waste of time... You don't have to wait for an official release ... You can install a leaked version... And now that's I know your running a 9900 os 7.1 has already leaked for your handset...so you can install it if you want...

I have an issue hotspot on O2-UK works fine for me but mobile youtube asks for APN settings? I've used mobile.o2.co.uk and it works but just wondering if it comes out of my allowance?
