 My BIS only works when in the house connected to wifi?

I'm using a blackberry 9105 Pearl 3G on Three Mobile (UK). I have tried registering to GPRS on the host routing table and it doesn't work.
In my house I have wifi, obviously.
So how do I fix this?
I have contacted three mobile on six occasions and their answer is always the same 'the blackberry internet service doesn't appear to be functioning correctly, the server must be down' when it isn't. I
