Haggling (with Orange)

My contract with Orange (a £10 pound tariff- 300 min + unlimited texts.) just finished. I was thinking about swapping to their £7 plan, 150 mins, 500 texts + 250mb of data.

Now, I'm being given a Blackberry this weekend, and as such will need BIS (as is my understanding- I'm a complete BB newbie), which is a £5 bolt on.

So long story short here is my question:

Has anyone had any luck in haggling bolt ons onto a new contract for less? In an ideal world I don't want to pay more than £10 on my contract, and if I'm getting the BIS, I guess I won't need the 250mb internet so could maybe swap it? Just wondered if anyone had been successful in haggling to get a good deal, and any tips on how to sweet talk your way would be brilliant.

I pay £10 for BIS 100 min & unlimited texts with Orange, pay monthly sim only as my contract expired.

I pay £8 a month on orange, got their Panther 15.50 sim only with 300 mins, unlimited text and 500mb data including BIS. Was a special they offered, and do regularly offer.

Have a haggle, see what you can get, you could always ask to speak to retentions.

I worked for Orange, in retentions, for 2 years until recently to go on my travels. I'd be happy to tell you what they can and can't offer you and also little hidden extras you'd be eligible for which aren't advertised.
