If that is the case, you cant do anything about it. Reconditioned phones with blocked PINs are so rampant here in the Philippines. | Oh my yeah, globe just said all is set but still no good. I just enjoy it with wifi now. How about YM giving an error that "Services is disabled on this phone"

Hey everyone!I think I need help, I just got off from Globe's Customer Service hub with no resolution. The issue is, I've been subscribed to bbmax 599 since January 22 but the other day I wasn't able to use my 9930 on BIS.so, technically its as if I got off of the system or some sort..but I can still see my 3G signal with BB logo but no BBM, twitter and FB. Checked browsing but its giving me an error message to use wifi. Also tried sending a test message, still no avail. I've tried to insert my Sim to my other BB (storm2 9550), and I still got the same issue..been hard resetting and registering to host routing table, but still no luck!I'm currently running OS 7.1 and planning to downgrade to 7.0 to see if that will resolve the issue.. Any suggestions guys?

My fiance's 9900 has exhibited the same issue. She's connected with the carrier but could not send or receive BBM and email. A battery pull solves the problem, albeit temporarily.
Although a battery pull solves it, it should not be the case. Her 9900 is on the latest official 7.0 and I thought it would be solved if she goes 7.1 but after reading your problem, might not just do it.

Have you tried registering your device to globe.blackberry.com? I have somewhat similar problem with yours, I just registered it but with an error. Tried to call globe to check on the issue and it seems that my device registration havent received by RIM servers yet (he told me this is necessary to use the BB services). They have to do some back end IT stuff there. After which I can already use the BB services.
FYI: I am using a globe provided Bold 9790

So what am I supposed to do then?get a new carrier?get a new phone?or get a new Sim?I haven't done downgrading to 7.0 yet..cuz I have this gut feeling that the issue is not on my end..

Thanks in advance | you can ask RIM to recode their app to your desired signature... and YES of course they wouldn't listen to you, never. So i suggest you may want to ask questions that are of major technical concerns that covers globe and smart users instead of something vain like a simple plain and lame facebook-blackberry signature. |

Any suggestions guys? | you can login to globe.blackberry.com go to change device then click detect new device button, then just follow the on-screen instructions. do that every time you switch devices, sometimes its automatic but there are times its not. but logging in the website will fix your "switching devices" issue.
oh and make sure you have a login on that website. you can only create that login via the handset BTW... not on the website anymore.

FYI: I am using a globe provided Bold 9790 | blackberry social will not give you access to globe.blackberry.com since the website is just for emails and blackberry social subscription doesn't offer that, you'd have to have bbmax or the blackberry messaging to access that website.
